Neither of You Is the Problem. The Cycle Between You Is.
You never imagined that the person you care about most could become the person you struggle with the most. But here you are — having the same arguments, feeling alone in the relationship, wondering if things can really get better.
One of you reaches for closeness while the other pulls back. Neither of you feels understood. Both of you are exhausted.
As an Emotionally Focused Therapist, I help couples find their way back to each other.
Does This Sound Familiar?
You keep having the same conversations with no resolution.
One of you reaches for closeness while the other shuts down.
You're beginning to wonder whether you've simply grown apart.
You miss feeling like teammates.
You don't know how to talk without someone getting hurt.
You feel more like roommates than partners.
Parenting, work, and stress have taken over.
Trust has been damaged.
You're wondering if things can really get better.
You don't have to keep doing this alone.
Why Couples Get Stuck
Most couples don't get stuck because they lack love or are incompatible. They get caught in a cycle. One partner pursues, protests, or criticizes — reaching for connection. The other withdraws or goes quiet — trying to keep the peace.
Both people end up feeling lonely and misunderstood. The harder they try to protect themselves, the further apart they drift.
Fortunately, cycles can change.
How I Help
Couples often come to therapy hoping for better communication. While communication matters, I believe that beneath anger, criticism, withdrawal, and conflict is something deeper — a longing to feel loved, valued, and understood.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most researched and effective approaches for helping couples heal and strengthen their relationships.
"My job isn't to decide who's right or wrong. It's to help both of you feel safe enough to be honest — and close enough to move forward."

A Comfortable Space for Meaningful Conversations

I believe environment matters. My Mission Valley office provides a calm, welcoming space where couples can slow down, reconnect, and focus on what matters most.
What to Expect
Starting therapy can feel intimidating. You may wonder whether you'll be blamed, whether it can really help, or whether things have gone too far.
My goal is to create a space where both of you feel heard — not judged, not put on trial. Many couples arrive wondering if things have gone too far. They haven't.
I work with many busy professionals and parents. This is a space set aside just for the two of you.
